Chalet Mat Leon, Taman Negara Pahang

Masakan  tradisi penduduk sini sangat sedap. Makanan standard yang goreng-goreng tu kurang sedap.

Atas gulai asam rong. Bawah ikan sungai yang digoreng rangup. Saiznya 2x atau 3x besar dari ikan bilis.  Sangat sedap rasanya.

Cafe. Nyaman duduk sini kadang-kadang terasa kesejukannya

Harga chalet
---------------
Chalet aircond - RM150 - baru di bina mengadap sungai.
Chalet standard (kipas) - RM60
Chalet untuk 4 orang (kipas) - RM80
Dorm chalet (bilik air luar) - RM15 satu kepala (satu dorm muat 4 orang)
Khemah - RM5 satu kepala (khemah bawa sendiri)

Nak sumbat berapa ramai dalam chalet tak kisah. Chaletnya hanya  ala kadar saja.

Pro
----
1. Air sejuk. Pikir panjang kalau nak mandi pagi.
2. Tuala di sediakan
3. Air paip laju.
4. Ada sarapan pagi

Kontra
---------
1. Bergoyang-goyang tangga chalet bila pijak
2. Tiada cermin, sabun mandi, tv, cerek, gelas
4. Batang singki bocor
5. Kotak flush rosak.  Air payah nak penuh walaupun airnya laju.

Setiap chalet disediakan fire extinguisher. Maklumlah chalet kayu mudah terbakar.

Balkoni mengadap hutan.Kami jadikan balkoni ni tempat memasak dan makan. Dapur gas, periuk belanga bawa sendiri.
Dinding nampak baru

Itu chalet baru yang ada aircond. Berhadapan sungai. Bulatan merah tempat perkhemahan. Tak besar pun. Tanah bahagian situ saja yang rata. Bahagian lain penuh akar.

Lelaki Dianggap Dewa Kerana Ada EKOR!

Misteri Nenek Atas Almari Di Asrama Puteri

Thursday Tip # 11 - Art and space

After a long hiatus I am back to Thursday Tips at the request of a reader who liked these short and to the point tips for "small improvements that have big impact".  For this week my favourite topic - art.

The biggest mistake made when hanging art is not matching the size/shape of the art work to the space you are hanging it.   Work should look "comfortable" in its space not cramped or looking like it is awash in a sea of wall.

art vertical space
Layout follows vertical space

 hanging art console
Long console needs substantial work to fill space

hanging art stairwell
Perfect  size and composition for top of stairs

hanging art bedroom
Size and shape  works with width of headboard

hanging art sofa
Art shape and size  follows wall shape

And there you have it.  Large works for large spaces or smaller works massed together for impact.  No little pieces lonely on a big wall.  No large pieces squat into a small space.  Oh, did I mention I have a lot of opinions on gallery walls?  I'll save that for another tip.
