JAPAN`S MOST NOTORIOUSLY HAUNTED PLACES

1. Hanging Ruins (Shinsekai, Osaka)

Tucked away in the bustling Shinsekai area of Osaka lies a burnt-out building where scores of sneakers are hung. Kobayashi claims that an acquaintance once saw a life-sized doll hanging from the rafters only to learn later that it was a real dead body.

2. N****** Hospital Ruins (Somewhere in North Kanto)

Abandoned hospitals are generally pretty spooky places to be in, but what shook Kobayashi most were stories of a mysterious group shrouded in white cloth who perform ceremonies here. The stories go that anyone who catches them in the act of a ceremony gets attacked with a sickle. Sure enough when visiting he saw a sickle lying on the ground.

This video claims to be from N****** Hospital but judging by the footage, there only seems to be a fairly talented group of taggers active there.

3. Aokigahara (Yamanashi)

This forest showing up on the list shouldn’t be a surprise to those familiar with its reputation. Arguably the most popular location to commit suicide in the world, you can be sure there’s some negative vibes going around.

Only adding to the creepiness is the presence of wara ningyou which are little straw dolls that people use like a voodoo doll. By nailing one to a tree you place a curse on that special loathed person of yours.

4. Round Schoolhouse Ruins (Hokkaido)

On the other hand, this circular school in Hokkaido is rather well-known and documented on the internet. Kobayashi says that once someone was dared to go inside but went insane and disappeared.

5. Tea House Ruins (Miyako, Okinawa)

As Kobayashi puts it, “there’s not much information” about this place. And he couldn’t be more right as internet searching yielded little more than him saying there wasn’t much information and the above picture. He does say that it’s a treasure trove of paranormal activity.

#6 Old Chusetsu Tunnel (Fukuoka)

This out-of-service tunnel is a popular place to dare someone to walk into. Word has it that this was the scene of a murder, and after entering you can hear a voice say “stop.”

It looks like no voices tried to stop this person from walking through:

7. S***** Shrine (Somewhere in Central Japan)

There seems to be a lot of secrecy surrounding haunted sites in Japan and for some reason, many of the locations are only known by the first initial.  According to Kobayashi there are several stories of abduction surrounding this shrine. However, since we have no idea what shrine it is, we advise you to stay away from all shrines beginning with the letter S in central Japan.

(No photos or videos)

8. SSS Curve (Okinawa)

Nearby is a sanctuary for a Ryukyuan religion and many ghost photos have reportedly been taken there. However, all I could find was this video of a guy walking around “feeling the energy.” One commenter said they received a “heavy sensation on his shoulder” after watching.

#9 Doryodo Ruins (Tokyo)

Located in Otukayama Park in Hachioji, Tokyo this was the site of a temple that was once very popular but was dismantled in 1983, twenty years after an elderly woman was murdered there. Also in 1973, the body of a university student was dumped here after she was murdered by a professor whom she was having an affair with. They say you can still hear crying in this area.

#10 Oiran Buchi (Yamanashi)

Steep cliffs surrounding a flowing river can be found off Highway 411 outside of Yamanashi City. In spite of its natural beauty, legend has it that a long time ago 55 prostitutes were killed in this spot. There’s also a creepy suspension bridge nearby that looks like something out of Silent Hill.

Ginti Kobayashi is a writer who in recent years can be seen in the series, Kaidan Shinmimibukuro Nagurikomi! In these DVDs, we follow Kobayashi and his colleagues as they explore Japan’s most notoriously haunted places.

In the spirit of summer, when Japan likes to cool down by sharing chilling stories, Kobayashi sat down with Spa magazine and laid out his choices for the top 10 most frightening haunted places he has ever experienced.

En. Suami langsung takde hati nak ke Korea. Tak minat K-Pop katanya... (eleh.. tak semestinya kena minat K-Pop baru leh ke Korea!)

pic from google

Pilihan pertama : Tour Group :

Adult = RM4,500/pax, Kanak-kanak = RM4,000/pax.

RM4,500/pax x 2pax + RM4,000/pax x 3 pax = RM17,000.
Adoi!!

Pilihan kedua : Beli tiket kapal terbang sendiri dan ambil ground package sahaja

Kos Pakej :
Adult = RM2,900/pax, kanak-kanak = RM2,500/pax.
Pros : Yang ini tiket kapal terbang kita kena beli asing, so kita leh cari tiket kapal terbang yang ada promosi.. so leh jimat. Lagi satu, takde strangers dalam kumpulan ni.. hanya kita jer.
Cons : Jadual aktiviti yang tetap.

Untuk keluarga saya;
RM2,900/pax x 2 pax + RM2,500/pax x 3pax = 10,800.00

Tiket kapal terbang :
Apakah strategi saya? Huhu... ada beberapa, iaitu :
1. tunggu Air Asia buat promo RM0.. biasanya setahun paling kurang sekali dorang akan buat
2. kumpul Enrich Miles sampai cukup

Katakan saya dapat beli awal, kos tiket untuk keluarga saya;
RM400/pax x 5 pax = RM2,000.00

Jadi total untuk pilihan kedua ialah RM10,800 + RM2,000 = RM12,800.00
Wah, murah RM5,000 daripada pilihan pertama!

Pilihan ketiga : Tiket kapal terbang dan penginapan sendiri, tapi ambil tour guide sahaja
Pros : jadual aktiviti kita yang tentukan.
Cons : setakat ni tak nampak lagi cons nye..

Kos makan-minum = RM300/day x 5 days = RM1,500.00

Total = RM2,000 + RM1,500 + RM5,000 + RM1,500 = RM10,000.
Wow-wee!! RM2,800 lebih murah daripada pilihan kedua!

Pilihan keempat : DIY - Semuanya sendiri2...
Pros : Jadual bebas ikut suka-hati kita.
Bawa anak2 kalu sesat memang kalut weyy!

Tiket kapal terbang = RM2,000.00 untuk kami berlima

Kos penginapan di apartment 2 bilik / hotel 3 bintang = RM300/night x 4 nights = RM1,200.00
Cincai kira RM1,500.00 untuk kami semua.

Kos pengangkutan sepanjang berada di sana (katakan RM100/day/pax) = RM500/day x 5 days = RM2,500.00

Kos makan-minum = RM300/day x 5 days = RM1,500.00

Entrance fees = RM2,000

Jumlah = RM2,000 + RM1,500 + RM2,500 + RM2,000 = RM9,000
Hmm.. cuma RM1,000 lebih murah daripada pilihan ketiga.

SO, YANG MANA YANG SESUAI? HMMM... SAYA PERLU MEMBUAT KAJIAN LEBIH DETAIL. KALAU BOLEH NAK TARGET RM5,000 JE TOTAL UNTUK 1 FAMILI. LOGIK TAK AGAKNYA?

"THE CANADIAN ABANDONED & MOST HAUNTED PLACES"

"Place That Are Equally Creepy And Beautiful"

Uranium City
One of the more famous ghost towns in Saskatchewan is Uranium City. It was close to achieving city status and then collapsed upon the closure of the Eldorado Mine and the mass exodus of its population. Today, roughly 70 people inhabit the town in order to keep it alive.

White Otter Castle
White Otter Castle near Atikokan, Ont. is a three-storey castle by Jimmy McOuat. An eccentric hermit, he built the castle between 1903 and 1915 as a dowry for a woman he wanted to marry. In 1918, McOuat drowned while fishing and is buried next to the castle. The property remains abandoned.

Bayer’s Lake Mystery Walls
Bayer’s Lake Mystery Walls in Halifax, Nova Scotia is a mystery that has stumped Nova Scotians for decades. Located near the province's capital, these fortified stonewalls are unknown in origin, abandoned by someone hundreds, perhaps even thousands of years ago. The most logical explanation that’s often used is that it could have been a military installation.

Fort San
Fort San, or the Fort Qu Appelle Sanitaruim, is a former sanitorium opened in 1917 to house tuberculosis patients. A self-sustaining village, it had its own power house, gardens, livestock and more. In the 1960’s, the building was used as the Saskatchewan Summer School of the Arts then the HMCS Qu'Appelle Cadet Summer Training Centre. In the 90’s,it was re-purposed as the Echo Valley Conference Centre, which was closed down in 2004.

Giant Mine
Just north of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories was a large gold mine discovered in 1935 by Johnny Baker. It wasn’t until 1944 that the mine’s massive gold deposits were discovered. From 1948 to 2004, the mine produced over 220,000 kgs of gold. In 2005, Miramar Giant Mine Ltd., the group responsible for maintaining the mine, ditched their duties and the Giant Mine officially became abandoned.

Val-Jalbert
Val-Jalbert in Quebec, just 8km northwest of the town of Chambord, Que., was first built in 1901. Its location at the base of Ouiatchouan Falls allowed it to be a successful pulp mill for many years until it was suddenly closed in 1927 and the entire town was abandoned. All the remains are sixty well-preserved buildings.

Ireland's Eye
What was once a fishing village by Smith Sound, Trinity Bay in Newfoundland from the 1880's to the 1960's is now a ghost town. At its peak, the village's population was at 157. However by the mid 60's, the population fell to 16, all who later fled to nearby counties. There are rumours that the village proved to be a hiding ground for the drug caches of local gangsters during the 80's.

The Canada Malting Complex
The Canada Malting complex in Montreal, Quebec was built in the early 1900’s and thrived for many years, outputting 250,000 lbs of malt per year. In 1980s, the factory became too small and the site was abandoned. Due to vandalism and weather, the factory now sits in a major state of disrepair, though its silo remain part of the Lachine Canal National Historic Site.

When it comes to creepy locations, certain cemeteries, churches and even cities are a given. But what about an airport? A fishing village? Or a school for that matter?

Well, take away the people, let time work its magic and even the most harmless location can become mildly terrifying once it's abandoned.

When it comes to derelict buildings, there's a wide swath of locations around the world and Canada is no exception. In between the cities, the wheat fields and Rockies are a special collection of abandoned buildings. But don't expect to find any tour guides here.

You might not even come across any electricity or running water given how long these places have been foresaken. But for all the energy and colour they lack, these places make it up with a blend of dread and beauty.

Still not sold? Just take a look at some of these photos below and see if you've got the courage to check out abandoned Canada as Halloween edges closer and closer.
