Holiday Detox

Asyik makan daging korban saja sejak Raya hari tu. Lepas tu banyak pula attend kenduri kahwin... makan nasi beriyani lagi, daging lagi, ayam, berempah berminyak...minum air sirap bandung, manis pekat dengan susu dan ice-cream soda....aduish...

baju, kain seluar semua dah semakin ketat...alamak...tak boleh jadi ni!!!!

Sebelum diet tu jom kita buang dulu semua toksin dalam badan tu....

==========================================
If your holiday celebrations are leaving you feeling fat, achy, and lethargic, you’re not alone. Millions of your fellow revelers are in the same swollen boat.

Good news! This 3-day detox will blast away bloat, boost energy, burn fat, and ensure you regain your mojo in just 72 short hours. The meals are vegetarian (no meat or poultry—you had your fill on Turkey Day), and they’re loaded with the ideal mix of antioxidants, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Here’s how it works:

•Follow the same daily menu for three days in a row.

•Eat only what is listed on the menu–no added sugar, honey, sugar substitute, salt, salad dressing, condiments, etc.

•Drink only what is listed on the menu—no soda, fruit juice, alcohol, or diet beverages.

•Enjoy black coffee or tea at breakfast (regular or decaffeinated).

•Drink two 8-ounce glasses of water within 30 minutes of eating your lunch and dinner meals. Drink as much additional water as you’d like throughout the day.

•Drink one cup of regular or decaffeinated green tea after your lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner.

•The plan is vegetarian, but if you’d like to make it vegan see simple substitutes at breakfast and dinner.

Ready, set, go.

Daily Menu

Breakfast

In a blender, combine ¾ cup skim milk (for vegan plan, substitute soy or almond milk), ½ banana, ½ cup frozen raspberries, ½ cup frozen blueberries, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (for vegan plan, substitute soy, rice, or pea protein powder), ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, and 5 ice cubes. Blend until smooth and frothy.

Optional black coffee or tea

Lunch
Drink two 8-ounce glasses water (with optional lemon) within 30 minutes of eating. Drink as much additional water as you’d like during the meal.

Large spinach salad

•Unlimited spinach leaves
•Unlimited antioxidant-rich produce (Best choices include bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, red onions, broccoli, and sliced beets. You may also add cucumbers, mushrooms, celery, and cauliflower.)
•½ cup red kidney, pinto, or black beans
•1 tablespoon toasted, chopped pecans
•Dress with 1 teaspoon olive oil and unlimited balsamic or red wine vinegar

1 pink or red grapefruit
1 cup green tea

Snack
½ cup unsalted pistachio nuts (in shell)
1 cup green tea

Dinner
Drink two 8-ounce glasses of water (with optional lemon) within 30 minutes of eating. Drink as much additional water as you’d like during your meal.

Unlimited baked, grilled, broiled, or poached fish
Good choices include cod, halibut, haddock, and wild salmon, seasoned with fresh lemon and black pepper (for vegan plan, substitute Sautéed Tofu—see recipe below)
Unlimited steamed broccoli with optional fresh lemon and black pepper

1 cup green tea or naturally caffeine-free herbal tea

Recipe: Sautéed Tofu

•Oil spray (canola or olive oil)
•1 block extra firm tofu, drained and pressed for at least 30 minutes
•1 clove garlic, minced
•Fresh lemon juice or balsamic vinegar
Liberally coat a large nonstick skillet with oil spray, and preheat the skillet over medium-high heat.
Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet in a single layer and cook, without stirring, for 2 minutes. Toss the cubes and cook for 6 minutes, stirring every few minutes to brown the tofu evenly on all sides. Add additional oil spray as necessary to prevent the tofu from sticking to the skillet.

Add the garlic and sauté for 30 more seconds (watch the pan closely to make sure the garlic doesn’t burn).

Transfer the tofu to a plate and dress with unlimited fresh-squeezed lemon juice or balsamic vinegar.

The Sun

Remember way back in primary school when the teacher showed us how to draw a SUN. The sun always looked like this:

Never once did I question my primary school teacher as to why the sun should be drawn that way.
The sun usually looked bright and round in my eyes:

In high school, when people started reading and seeing more things around them, I learnt to draw the sun like this:

Again, being a typical Malaysian student, I didn't ask much. I just followed what others did.. and well, also because the sun looked wayyy nicer than the first one ;p
But to my naked eye, in sunny Malaysia, the sun still looked round. Sometimes looking up at the sun was impossible. Squint till cannot see the sun or if I tried to stare at the sun, my eyes will ended up seeing stuff in weird colours:

After high school, I was bound to meet someone who was selling art pieces at the malls (aka art drawn by professional artist) and it always looked like this:

PS: it will loook prettier with colours on it

This morning, I finally found the answer I wasn't was searching for after all those years XD

As I looked outside my window, the weather outside was absolutely fabulous today after all the continuous snowfall in the previous days. Hence, I decided to play around with my GF1... Played with the ISO, and WB modes on Manual.

I also ended up getting shots of the sunset. Yay because through my window, I can see the sunrise, and see it moving to the right side till it sets. East and West doesn't seem so far ;)

I thought the shots turned out nice... But then when I asked a friend to give his opinion, he said it was nice but its like any other normal photos.... *sad* Oh well, as long as I am happy with it and at least I know why the sun was drawn as what I've been taught since 6 years old :)

Cara mengelakkan read more automatik pada halaman statik

Caranya:
Masuk ke dashboard,pilih template>>Edit HTML

Cari kod dibawah ini:
<div class='post-body'>

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;static_page&quot;'><br/>
<data:post.body/>
<b:else/>

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != "item"'>

<div expr:id='"summary" + data:post.id'><data:post.body/></div>
<script type='text/javascript'>createSummaryAndThumb("summary<data:post.id/>");
</script> <span class='rmlink' style='float:right;padding-top:20px;'><a expr:href='data:post.url'> read more "<data:post.title/>"</a></span>

</b:if>
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'><data:post.body/></b:if>

</b:if>

<div style='clear: both;'/> <!-- clear for photos floats -->
</div>

<div class='post-body entry-content'>

kemudian letakkan kod ini dibawahnya:

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;static_page&quot;'><br/>
<data:post.body/>
<b:else/>

kemudian cari pula kod ini:

<div style='clear: both;'/> <!-- clear for photos floats -->

dan letakkan kod ini diatasnya:

</b:if>

Selamat mencuba

Satu kebetulan?

Adakah ini satu kebetulan?
selepas kejadian semalam (sila baca entri sebelum ini),
hari ini terfikir setelah teringat kata-kata seseorang suatu masa dulu (entah zaman batu bila dulu...) mengenai kereta ini lah.

Orang tu kata, kita jangan cakap apa-apa yang tak baik/elok pada kereta kita semasa kita sedang pakai kereta tu...nanti kereta tu "merajuk"..

hurmmm..?? kereta merajuk????

tak lama lepas tu... jadilah kejadian semalam tu...pastu saya terfikirlah cerita orang tu berkenaan kereta "merajuk" ...

tapiiiiiiii...

semua ni kan dah suratan takdir... nak jadi-jadi lah...

bukan pasal "merajuk" pulak kan...

 kalau kita percaya ni, macam percaya cerita tahyul aje...

heeee...na'uzubillahi minzalik...

tak mahulah termasuk mensyirikkan Allah pula...

Wagamama

Wagamama, with their motto 'Positive eating + Positive living',  is a Japanese restaurant serving a variety of ramen, donburi and salads. People love this place. When I heard about Wagamama from Fiona, and I mentioned it to other people, all they do is gush about it!

I had my first visit to Wagamama located at Glasgow's city centre. Wagamama's menu can be found online.
After lab, the five of us walked through the snow-filled paths towards Wagamama.

Looking at the menu, there was a wide array of choices to choose from. Took me awhile to decide. Finally, with some recommendations, I opted for the Chilli Ramen. It is a spicy noodle soup containing red chilli, onions, bean sprouts and a choice of chicken or beef. I ordered Chilli Ramen with chicken as it was cheaper ;p (8.95 pounds).

The bowl of noodle was huge and there was a generous portion of chicken. I would say it tasted like prawn noodle soup in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Linzi, Fiona, Becky and Eva all ordered curry chicken katsu with rice. I had a taste of it and the curry reminded of the Malaysian curry with santan. It was not spicy.

As for drinks, green tea is free of charge if a meal is ordered.

All in all, Wagamama is the place to go to if I ever miss Asian food. It has a good ambience for friendly meet-ups with friends :)

Meet Eva!

She has this fascnination with leaving footprints on the snow. Adorable in pink! ;)

Aksi ciuman di atas jalanraya!

Dalam kesibukan yang melanda...diuji kesabaran...
 yang kena cium...

yang mencium...
